The Seal of Biliteracy recognizes students who have demonstrated a high level of proficiency in two or more languages. This year, 37 seniors earned this distinction, representing 20% of the Class of 2026! Students earned the seal in 18 different languages and six students will be recognized with trilingual languages.
In addition, Karina Daldemian is making Watertown High School history as the first student to earn the Seal for quadrilingual proficiency (English, Western Armenian, Russian, and French)!
Congratulations to all of our students!

This week, junior Zoë Raymond presented her painting of Watertown High alumni and Vietnam veterans, including Robert DeLuca, to Mr. DeLuca himself. Earlier this winter, Mr. DeLuca contacted the school to see if a student would be interested in recreating a photograph taken in Vietnam. Because the men in the photo were teenagers at the time and alumni of Watertown High School, he felt it was especially meaningful for a current student to create the artwork. Over the past several months, Zoë stretched her own canvas, sketched the image, and completed the painting in oils. Mr. DeLuca was deeply appreciative of her work and plans to display the painting at the Watertown VFW, where it will honor the veterans and their connection to Watertown High School.
