WHS CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES 2025-2026
ARMENIAN CLUB: Join the Armenian Club to have fun, make new friends, and help create fundraisers that benefit Armenians around the world.

A.S.I.A. Club: A.S.I.A. stands for Asian Students in Action. We strive to foster a stronger, more visible AAPI community at WHS, educate others about various Asian cultures, and support communities nationally.

BEE KIND CLUB: Join the Watertown Kindness Club (Bee Kind Club)! In this club, we will add positivity to our days, host fundraisers for mental health awareness, spread joy to our community and overall, BEE kind!
BIRD WATCHING CLUB: Take walks at the Charles River and local woods to look for identity birds. Binoculars will be provided for everyone.

BLACK STUDENT UNION: Space for students of all races to discuss issues impacting people of color, particularly Black people with a focus on student experiences. The club will also discuss and celebrate culture, and plan events and fundraisers.

BRAZILIAN CLUB: Meet new people, eat, and learn about Brazilian culture. We meet every Monday right after school in Room 119 to enjoy snacks, play games, and learn about Brazilian culture and entertainment! You don’t have to be Brazilian or speak Portuguese to join.

CoLAB Club: A club where we do science! Once a month we get together with a gaggle of local scientists from the surrounding area and do science experiments. This includes biotech, hands-on building, computer programming, and more. Sign up to let us know you’re coming to a meeting–we provide dinner!

DANCE CLUB: Learn different styles of dance while having an outlet to de-stress and meet other students. Small performances throughout the School Year to showcase work!

DRAMA CLUB: Students interested in meeting for after school drama, ending with a production of some sort by end of year. And students interested in talking about what they want to see in the future for the Drama department

DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: We play the tabletop fantasy game Dungeons & Dragons. Every session involves improv, problem solving, a little math, and a lot of dice.

ENVIRONMENTAL: A student organization that aims to learn more about how to improve our individual and community's impact on the planet.

EXPEDITION: The purpose of the Expedition Club is to get outside and explore. We visit local forests and local museums. Anyone is welcome on any expedition. Join the google classroom to get updates on our next adventure.

FEM-CO (Feminist Coalition): We get together and discuss feminist-related topics. These can be topics specific to the school, to the country, or to the world. We have speakers come in and discuss topics with us, EG how to report sexual assault in the building. We collect hygiene products and donate them to local shelters. We are also trying to increase accessibility to pads and tampons in the bathrooms.

FILM GUILD: The film guild hosts monthly movie screenings at WHS with an emphasis on Arthouse, Independent, and foreign cinema. Grab some snacks and enjoy an afternoon watching movies with fellow cinephiles at WHS.

GENDER SEXUALITY ALLIANCE: A place for LGBTQ+ students and allies to discuss issues surrounding sexuality and gender at Watertown High School and the Watertown community, promote better understanding of these issues to the student body as a whole, and do fun activities and fundraisers to help support the community.

GOLF CLUB: WHS Golf Club for beginners! If you are newer to gold or are looking to play in a non-competitive way to enhance your skills, come join us.

KINGIAN CLUB: Kingian club has a mixture of discussions/actions/trainings around Kingian nonviolence. Students work actively to create the community they want to live in here at WHS and in Watertown more generally.

LATINX HARMONY CLUB:This club is made to bring the latino community together at WHS so the students can have a safe space where they can connect, feel welcome, and share the love and pride for their cultures. The students create projects such as raising money to donate to hispanic communities, coming together with other organizations, etc.
MATH CLUB: Explore interesting math topics outside the standard curriculum and practice solving American Mathematics Competition (AMC) problems.

MEDICAL CLUB: The WHS Medical Club looks to foster the interests of students who are looking to work in the medical field. We do hands-on activities such as basic first aid skills, mock surgical procedures, learning to check vital signs, suturing and how to properly don personal protective equipment. We host informational sessions on medical careers, education requirements and core classes to focus on in high school and college. We also take part in community service projects such as making cards for the elderly in our community.

MULTILINGUAL LEARNERS LEADERSHIP: Absolutely everyone is welcome! If you are a Multilingual Learner, or you are interested in celebrating and strengthening our diverse school community, please consider joining this club!

MUSLIM STUDENT ASSOCIATION: Our goal is to educate on and celebrate Islam. Students of any faith are welcomed.

NATIONAL ART HONOR SOCIETY: National Art Honor Society Programs support student members in their efforts to attain the highest standards in art scholarship, character, and service.

NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY/CUM LAUDE: This is the club associated with the school's National Honor Society.

NEURODIVERSITY ALLIANCE: This is a club to celebrate the idea of neurodiversity and spread awareness of the different ways people’s brains function. Everyone is welcome, both neurodivergent and allies.

ROBOTICS TEAM: Learn engineering, teamwork, and leadership skills to design, build, program a 100lb competition robot with no experience required! Compete with teams from around New England to qualify for the New England District Championship.

SOCIAL BUTTERFLIES: The goal of the Social Butterflies is to create an environment and an opportunity where students with disabilities can come together with their typical peers, make connections, create friendships and participate in social activities that are meaningful. It is our hope the connections made develop into meaningful friendships and lead to expanded social opportunities for students who would not typically experience them. It is also the goal of the clubs to expand throughout the district and be a presence in every school.

SOCIAL NETWORK: Social Network is a club that seeks to bring students from various backgrounds and classes to socialize and engage in activities. The goal is to provide students an opportunity to connect with one another in a safe and accepting space to build relationships and create a welcoming community across the high school.

SPIRIT COMMITTEE: This club focuses on embracing and supporting school spirit. Students plan school events such as the Homecoming Dance and Fall Pep Rally, run school fundraisers, and design Raider gear.

TRAVEL CLUB: If you like to travel, then come join our travel club! We’ve traveled to Ireland, England, Germany, Czech Republic, Hungary, and Poland. This year we plan to decide on our 2026 trip, fundraise to help cut down the cost of the trip, and recruit students!

WGBH HIGH SCHOOL QUIZ SHOW: Informal trivia games leading up to a tournament run by WGBH studios for local high schools.

WOMEN IN STEM: We introduce students to out of school programs and highlight different STEM courses at WHS and the steps required to excel in class. We also discuss and acknowledge women in STEM fields and focus on career pathways to take after high school!

WORD PAINTER: Word Painter is the Literary Magazine of Watertown High School. Students publish poetry, short stories, photographs and original drawings both online and in print.
